Client brief

AYBL, headquartered in Redditch, identified the need to enhance and expand its existing welfare facilities in response to a period of sustained organisational growth and increased operational demand. Following the company’s rapid commercial success and the subsequent expansion of its workforce, the existing staff amenities no longer provided the capacity or functionality required to effectively support the growing team.

As part of this development, the organisation recognised that its current kitchen and staff welfare areas required significant improvement in order to meet the needs of a larger employee base and to maintain a high standard of workplace comfort and usability. In addition, the existing meeting space was no longer sufficient to accommodate team collaboration, internal meetings, and operational discussions at the scale now required.

our solution

Consequently, a comprehensive upgrade of the kitchen facilities and meeting areas was undertaken to better support the evolving needs of the organisation. As part of these improvements, bespoke meeting pods were designed and installed to provide dedicated spaces for collaboration, informal discussions, and focused work. In addition, the existing banquet seating was carefully modified and reconfigured to complement the updated layout and to maximise both functionality and comfort within the space.

Further enhancements included the installation of bespoke mirrors, implemented in accordance with the architect’s design brief, ensuring that the finished environment aligned with the overall aesthetic vision and design standards of the project.

The objective of these enhancements was to deliver a more efficient, contemporary, and highly functional environment that supports employee wellbeing while fostering collaboration and productivity. These upgraded facilities not only improve the day-to-day experience for staff but also ensure that the workplace infrastructure remains aligned with the ongoing growth and professional standards of AYBL as the organisation continues to expand.

TDI was appointed as the principal contractor for the project, with all works rigorously executed in full compliance with current CDM (Construction Design and Management) regulations. Throughout the duration of the programme, the project was delivered on schedule and within the agreed budget, achieving the highest possible standards of quality and workmanship.
